Una opinion desde los USA

Hace unos meses, pregunté a un norteamericano habitual de las exposiciones internacionales llamado Jason su opinión sobre nuestra Expo y esto es lo que me contó. ¡Thank you, Jason!

El texto está en inglés. Yo lo entiendo pero no me atrevo a hacer una traducción para no meter la pata. Si alguien se anima...

As a fan of World's Fairs/Expos I have been to 11 of them since 1982, I have only missed Taejon Korea in 1993. I must say one of my favorite Expos was Zaragoza because many of the pavilions truly presented the theme well. In Shanghai while there were many interesting buildings the presentations lacked substance. The Ebro site was beautiful and lines not too crazy. Of course Zaragoza as a host city was spectacular, large enough to host a world class event but also small enough to feel quaint and historic. Easily accessible to walk and discover. The people I met through Couchsurfing incredible! Also the entertainment was great and the Iceberg show both spectacular and meaningful not just an end of night fireworks show.
I am even more impressed after seeing what has become of the Expo 2008 site now! I believe of all the Expos I have been to only Zaragoza seemed to have a good plan in place after the Expo to transform the site easily and readily into another use. So few structures needed to be demolished completely (a good 'green' strategy) While other Expo sites have transformed themselves, many lay derelict for years or have completely lost their ties to the Expo legacy they held...Tsukuba Japan Expo 1985 is a good example of a site that has no resemblance as a Expo site except for one small memorial statue to note it was held there.
In closing all I have to say is Bravo Zaragoza you are a truly world class city! One I now wish to return to again!
